Mr. Lidman, the co-founding shareholder of Lidman Law, is an experienced attorney who has spent almost 20 years practicing exclusively in the area of employment law, with a particular emphasis on wage and hour class action and representative actions.  Mr. Lidman has been recognized for many consecutive years as one of the leading employment law rising star attorneys in Southern California, and has represented clients in a broad range of industries, such as retail, banking, non-profit, real estate, transportation, pharmaceutical, finance and manufacturing.  Mr. Lidman spent many years representing employers, including fortune 500 companies, before deciding to take his expertise and extensive knowledge of employment to law to represent employees in both the areas of litigation and counseling.  Mr. Lidman routinely handles employment lawsuits involving claims of wage and hour disputes (with a strong emphasis on wage and hour class and representative actions), wrongful termination, breach of contract, whistle-blowing, and discrimination or harassment claims based on race, gender, sex, pregnancy, national origin, sexual orientation, age, mental and physical disabilities.

Mr. Lidman has been recognized by his peers as a Southern California Rising Star in the area of employment litigation for many years.  Mr. Lidman has extensive experience practicing in various state and federal courts throughout the state of California, and has experience working on key employment-related appellate matters in the wage and hour area, including in the United States Supreme Court.   Mr. Lidman also has significant experience handling employment-related administrative matters, including before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the California Department of Industrial Relations and the National Labor Relations Board. Mr. Lidman was selected to the 2019 Southern California Super Lawyers list (in the area of Employment & Labor), an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice.  Only 5% of attorneys in Southern California receive this distinction. 

Mr. Lidman received his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law where he graduated suma cum laude in 1998.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1995. Mr. Lidman joined Littler Mendelson, a large multi-national employment law firm, after his graduation from law school in 1995.  After having spent years at Jones Day, another large multi-national full-service law firm, Mr. Lidman returned to Littler Mendelson and became a shareholder in 2009.  In 2018, Mr. Lidman left the firm to start Lidman Law to devote his practice full-time to representing the rights and needs of employees.

Mr. Lidman is a current and/or former member of multiple professional trade associations including the California State Bar and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
